Tuberous sclerosis is a genetic disease that predisposes individuals to the formation of hamartomas in multiple organs, particularly in the skin.
Several diagnostic criteria are based on cutaneous alterations such as angiofibromas or fibrous plaques on the head (≥ 3), ungual fibromas (≥ 2), and hypopigmented macules (≥ 3 of at least 5 mm in diameter).
