Abstract

Plato’s myth of the cicadas tells of beings so enchanted by the music of the Muses that they forgot to eat and sleep, transforming into cicadas that sing eternally. These cicadas symbolize the unbreakable drive of those who, moved by their love of knowledge, persist tirelessly. In that same spirit, the journal of the “Dr. Úraga Dermatological Center” consolidates its purpose with “sweat, determination, and hard work” from its first issue, creating a space for the dissemination of high-quality dermatological knowledge and research, with the vision of growth and transcendence.
